Chapter 6hOslo B - the West BankPost office openings: 8.Nov.1995Rubber postmarks EnvelopesIntroductionOn 8.Nov.1995 , The first day of post offices in the West Bank . 36 (Thirty six !) rubber postmarks were introduced in 36 post offices in the West Bank area . Contrary to the Gaza and Jericho areas (Oslo-A-) NO Mention whatsoever was given to the fact that these openings are FIRST DAY of the post offices ! Not any sign nor any type of "First Day” cachet was added to the 8th of Nov. 1995 envelopes , although this date was the official and practical , FIRST DAY of the postal system all over the West Bank ! . The rubber made postmarks were used in the Pal. Auth. offices for years . They continued to be used in parallel to the metal postmarks which were introduced during 1996 .
